I’ve gotten a a lot of emails the past week from readers who are a little confused about TENTACLES…

Just to clarify TENTACLES is the sequel to CRYPTID HUNTERS.

Can you read the novels out of order? Yes, but it would be better to read them in order.

TENTACLES begins almost immediately after Marty and Grace return from The Congo in Central Africa.

Will there be a 3rd book in the series? The short answer is yes (and probably several more). The longer answer can be found by scrolling through these blog entries to “Will there be a sequel to Cryptid Hunters and Tentacles?”

I’m delighted so many of you are enjoying Tentacles. If you haven’t read Cryptid Hunters I’m certain you’ll like it just as well Tentacles.

    I just finished Cryptid Hunters and fell in love with it now i have something fun and exciting to read while im waiting the inhertiance cycle book 4 but i cant afford the new book tentacules and i was wondering if you have gotten a EBOOK up and going for me to read, Thanks Derek!!!!

    I absolutly loved Tentacle and Cryptid Hunters. Cyptids and the questioning of things that have not een proven by science are becoming a trend. watch out theres some serious competition ahead Mr. Smith

    hey, mr. smith. i am 13 years old and i first red cryptid hunters i think 4 years ago. 1 1/2 years ago, i began to think about it, and i found it again, but i didnt know that there was a sequal. i found the sequal at a bookfair, and i said to myself immedietly that i would get it. I was a little dissapointed at the end of tentacles, because it just leaves grace, dinosaurs one and two, on blackwoods heli while blackwood thinks that he blew up the coelacanth. and so i was wondering how many more books there would be and when the third one comes out. my email is klevanskyc@hotmail.com if you would like to contact me.

    I love the hole series! Get the third out as quickly as you can please? I honestly love Marty, we would be best friends, since we are utter opposites. I think Grace would completely get along, being the sister often leaves u beat on! 😀 I love the aspect that you brought Luther into this! I love that boy! Wolfe has evolved into a many layer charactor that i’m hungered to get the chance to see all of him! Butch needs to be slapped, just gonna say. Haha! Noah Blackwood is very twisted, and I can’t wait to see a closer look into his passed. I could go and go from there, but i’ll leave it. All together is a great collection of novels, charactors, plots, and truely life inspiring moments!

    I also read peak it’s 1 of the best books I’ve ever read so is cryptid hunters.

    i absoulty loved tentacles and cryptid hunters.i have read i.q, jack’s lie, jack’s run(finished it the night i got it), jagwire, elephant run, peak, and Sasquatch.

    hey im a 12 year old. ive read sasquatch,and elephant run. i also own cryptid hunters and tentacles and ive read each about five times. im just now reading peak.every single one of your books rule.in fact marty,grace,and wolfe are awesome. and teds inventions are brilliant. only a really good writer could come up with bad guys like noah blackwood and butch McCall.i have a question. have you ever met writers like christopher paolini(inheritence series) or gordan korman (no more dead dogs and many other books)?

    Thanks! I’m glad to hear you’ve enjoyed so many of my books. I don’t know Christopher, but I do know Gordon pretty well. One of the nice things about being an author is that you get to hang out with other authors.

    thanks for answering.i just finished peak and IQ book 1.im gonna check out IQ book 2 the first chance i get. once again youve come up with some awesome characters. i just love how each character has a special talent in all your books.peaks (peak) a great climber.Q (IQ) is great with magic tricks.Angela (IQ) is good with spy stuff. Grace is smart(Cryptid Hunters and Tentacles). marty has the gut instinct and knows animals.

    I am a fast reader and I love it but I don’t like reading books twice but with or I can read them over and over again and it still feel like they’re new. Cryptid hunters and tentacles is my favorite series followed close by the IQ series! Thank you so much for writing such amazing books.

    Is there another book out? I have been searching the web to find out if there is, yet I have not had any success. I love the books :):):) wonderful adventure and now a suspense like no other!!!!!
