Marie and I got back to the farm last night after few days in AR and MO. We got a chance to to see Bethany and Lee and grandsons #1 and #2.
On Wednesday I drove down to Clarksville, AR, a couple hours from Bentonville, to talk to a fabulous group of 5th and 6th graders at Kraus Middle School hosted by librarian Charlotte Wilson.
Thursday morning Marie and I drove to Springfield, MO where I spoke at Cherokee Middle School to a cool group of 7th and 8th graders hosted by librarian Margaret Butler. In the afternoon I was at Wanda Gray Elementary speaking to a sweet group of 3rd and 4th graders.
On Friday Marie and I spoke at the 30th annual Children’s Literature Festival of the Ozarks held at the Missouri State University campus. It was a great event with a lot of kids and a dozen authors, among them my friends Michael Spradlin, Brad Sneed…oh, and a new friend Obert Skye.
It was a nice trip, but it’s good to be back home.
-future author here!- any pointers?
