I’ve gotten a lot of email since Tentacles came out asking if there will be a third book. You’re fast readers!
The answer is yes, and there will probably be more books after the third with Grace and Marty and the Cryptos Island gang.
Next question: “When will it be out?”
Answer: “I flattered, but the ink is barely dry on Tentacles. All I can say is that it will be out a lot sooner than Tentacles appeared after the first book, Cryptid Hunters.”
Next question: “Do you know the title?”
Answer: “No. I generally don’t come up with the title until after I finish a book.”
Next question: “Do you know what happens?”
Answer: “Yes.”
Last question: “Will you tell me what happens?”
Answer: “I’m afraid you’ll have to wait for the third book. Sorry.”

I’ve read Cryptid hunters and Tentacles twice I cant wait for the next book to come out. I started to read Cryptid Hunters when my English teacher gave it to me, I saw the cover and I didnt think I was going to read it, but then I opened it up and I couldnt put it down after I read it I gave it to my mom and she loved it. We both will be waiting for the next book to come out. Cant wait!!!!!!!!!

sorry bout that just checkin seeing if it REALLY works. Well I just wanted to say I’m a huge bookworm and I have to say your 1st book is neck and neck with I’d say HMMMMMMM……… MAYBE JUST MAYBE the new series out by Rick Riordan but I DEFINETLY like all the gadgets in both books.

I’m so exited about you coming to McNair. I can’t wait. I was wondering…Whats you’re favorite animal? My favorite animals are lions, tigers, monkeys, and wallababies because they are so cute. So are bushbabies but only the small ones. As you can tell i love animals. When you worked at the zoo with the felines did you ever raise a lion cub? well gotta go by.
I love Tentacles. I didn’t think Cryptid Hunters was as exciting as tentacles. Honestly, I don’t think I needed to read Cryptid Hunters, because it explained what happened there in Tentacles. So the ending was anti-climactic for me. Still is a great book. Tentacles is one of my favorite books of all time, but I’m only 11. I can’t wait for the 3rd one to come out in 2012!
I usually am very hard to please when I read a book. This saciated my expectations. It is very good. There are adventures followed by evil, followed by discoveries. I can not wait for the 3rd book. It got me hooked quickly, and kept me that way. Roland, you have a gift!

Sadly though, that I’ve read “Tentacles” before I got to read the “Cryptid Hunters”.
You know, I was actually looking through our school’s library (yes, I’m still a student, but I still love the book) and I saw the tentacles cover and instantly, I fell in love with it!

Hey!! I loved your book. Though i made the mistake of reading tentacles first so you can imagine how confused i was… but then i got the criptid hunters from the library and i was great. I absolutely cannot wait until the next book comes out. My mom says that instead of eating her out of house and home i will read her out of house and home! 🙂

My 10yr old daughter Katelyn, brought Cryptid Hunters home from the school library. From the first day she was raving about how I needed to read it, so I did and I couldn’t put it down. I told her she needed to see if there was a sequel, after reading this site I know there is and she is going to look for Tentacles tomorrow! Great book, for kids and adults, love the imagination and FYI you Mr. Smith need to check out drdino.com (Mokele-embeme does exist! watch his number 3 seminar tape for evidence!)
P.S. If you ever turn it into a movie Katelyn would love to be in it. She wants to be an actress very badly!

I read both books recently and was lucky to read cryptid hunters first to me cryptid hunters ended with a could be the end could have a sequal but the last bit of tentacles to me looked like it was a long wording for to be continued also I was wondering if marty’s friend (forgot his name) will be in the next book because so far hes my favorite character. finally, I totally called who the partner was then again Im good at figuring that stuff out quickly
