I was in Janesville, Wisconsin today with Frank Loose and the Scholastic Book Fair gang visiting Harmony Elementary, the winner of the Scholastic Book Fair Fall 2009 National Elementary contest. In addition to an author visit (with me) they won $2000 in credit for books etc.
I spoke to K-3 grade with songs and signs. It was a blast!
Frank picked me up at the airport last night and we drove to Janesville. He’s a great guy an ex-Portlander, and a graphic artist. As we ate a wonderful dinner at “The Speakeasy” last night I made him pick out the tile for Marie’s latest remodel project. I don’t he expected that. If people don’t like the tile, then we’ll just we’ll just blame Frank.
