Apex Middle School. Eva Perry Public Library 2

I was at Apex Middle School with librarians Linda Schmidt and Donna McAlonen speaking to a thousand very cool 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. After the big presentions I had lunch with 30 8th graders to discuss to “Peak.”. The group had wonderful questions about the novel and about writing.

This evening I spoke at the Eva Perry Public Library with librarian Lindsey C. Dunn. Big turn out with big fans. They gave out books to everyone who attends. Can’t beat that.

This is my last night in NC. Thank you to everyone for your kindness!

I’m the chorus/drama teacher, in case you didn’t catch my name. I had the opportunity to sit in for part of a couple of the presentations, and wanted to tell you how impressed I was. Compared to other authors we’ve hosted, you were so approachable; and your language, etc., was well-geared to our population. You also seemed to enjoy this, and it shows. Thanks so much!
