Medlin Middle School 2

I’m at Medlin Middle School today with librarian Margaret Wallace speaking to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

A bit foggy and damp in the Ft. Worth area this morning, at least where I’m staying. Reminds me of Portland, but it looks like it’s going to burn off quickly.

Good students with good questions and a very nice staff. I had breakfast and lunch in the library with several teachers and a few students. Great day. Thanks!

Went to Tex/Mex dinner with Sunni, the wonderful Amy, and Jax (aka Jackson). Jax could not get a word in edgewise.

Hi, Mr. Smith. I’m the assistant editor of the Wise County Messenger in Decatur, and I also write a book blog, Shelf Space, for the paper. I was so excited to see you’d be visiting Chisholm Trail Middle School tomorrow. I hope to make it down there!

    Hey Mr. Smith!
Just wanted to stop by and say how AMAZING your books are–every single one of them! Not that I’ve read all of them…but I surely love the Cryptid Hunters series and I can’t wait until the second book of I,Q comes out!!
But, I’ve heard that you’ve been trying to make books as fast as you can and people are so eager to get them (because they’re all so good!) so please take your time! I’m so glad that my friends advised me to read your books.
Thanks for helping me on my book reports! ;D
